Implementation

“Tom has been nothing but helpful, and the implementation of the platform was really smooth. Tom was great training the staff - as soon as he’d gone through details like how the Teacher side allows you to filter and sort students according to their progress, my colleagues could see how easy Unifrog is to use, and the power it gives them. As a general point, I’d say that the service I’ve had from Unifrog itself has been superb.

We’ve made sure to build Unifrog into our tutor programme. For example, using the platform has its own regular slot in form time. This enables our tutors and students to go through the students’ applications together. Having a plan for embedding Unifrog has really enabled us to get the most out of Unifrog.”

“Our students’ feedback is that implementing Unifrog has made the whole university process much easier.

Some tell us that they otherwise wouldn’t have known where to start looking for a course, that having all the information in one place makes the shortlisting process far more accessible for them than having to trawl through sources across the internet. Outside of the UK system, it’s been really eye opening for some of them to be able to consider opportunities in the US and the Netherlands.

Unifrog’s Personal Statement tools have halved the time it takes to build Personal Statements. Previously students would write something using an amalgamation of sources, and we would have to rewrite them entirely. The guidelines given on the tool are really effective, and the tool helps us in getting tutors to take a look at students’ drafts before they are passed onto the senior leadership team.”

 

Positive impact

“I strongly suspect that the way Unifrog presents options to students based upon their grades has brought university applications to the attention of students who otherwise may not have considered it an option. Unifrog has helped our students set realistic, positive goals.

For example, last year strangely we had a lot of students who liked the idea of being vets. By laying out the academic and practical requirements, the tools Unifrog provides helped these students to select realistic courses which actually suited them, instead of idealised but unrealistic careers.
