3,000 UK schools and colleges - growing our impact

We’re proud to share that over 3,000 UK schools and colleges now use Unifrog to help their students make their best next step. It’s a huge milestone - and one that reflects more than a decade of partnership, platform development, and understanding what UK teachers, advisors, and students really need.
 

How it all began…

2013 – Unifrog’s story began in March when All Hallows Catholic College became our very first partner school - and we’re thrilled they’re still with us today! Back then, the entire Unifrog team worked on building partnerships with UK schools and colleges. Early team members like Dan, John, Kim, Nick, Vikki, and Matt (who are all still with us today!) worked closely with our co-founders Alex and Coralie to develop the Unifrog platform to make post-school choices (university, apprenticeships and FE) clearer and more accessible.  

2015 – Our first major step toward wider impact came when the Harris Federation became the first Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) to roll out Unifrog across all its schools - a key moment that helped pave the way for more large-scale partnerships.

2016 – By the summer of 2016, we’d expanded the platform to add tools to record and track skills and activities. We also began to support students with crafting their applications, starting  with CVs, personal statements and teacher references.

2018 – We reached a major milestone in January, with 1,000 UK schools and colleges using Unifrog to support their students' next steps.

2022 – Just four years later, the number of Unifrog UK schools and colleges doubled to 2,000.

Today, we have over 30 team members dedicated solely to supporting our 3,000 UK schools and colleges, and the team continues to grow as we welcome even more schools and colleges to the Unifrog community!
 

Building the platform for UK schools

As we’ve grown to support 3,000 UK schools and colleges, we’ve launched new tools and features to meet the evolving needs of teachers and students. Here are some key moments along the way:

Alongside building the platform, we’ve focused on building a strong community of educators. In 2016, we hosted our first major teacher conference at Walworth Academy in London, in collaboration with Ark and FutureLearn. Since then, we’ve gone on to run numerous conferences and CPD events across the country, like our annual Teacher and advisor conferences and World of work events.

What’s next?

Reaching 3,000 UK school and college partners is a huge achievement – but we’re just getting started. We’re expanding the platform with more valuable tools (check out our new UCAT tool!), better connecting students and teachers with employers and universities, and creating resources that keep pace with the changing UK education landscape. 

We’re also launching Unifrog for primaries, helping younger learners build confidence, explore their interests, and start thinking about their futures in a fun, age-appropriate way. These developments are the next step in our mission to make sure every student finds their best next step.
