A-level results - should the worst happen, how well prepared are your students?
13th August 2014

Many students are now celebrating across the country, but the TES is reporting that according to a recent poll, 54% of A-level students have no idea what they will do, should they fail to get into their top two university choices.
In the poll, 82% said that they had a conditional offer for their first choice and that they also have a second ‘insurance’ option, but 40% wouldn’t want to go to their second choice, and 25% had the same offer for their first and second choices. These findings echo UCAS’s end of cycle report last year.
It’s so important the students choose courses offering a range of entry requirements, and that they do enough research on each of these courses to be actually happy to go to any of them. This is a tough task – hopefully Unifrog can support career advisers and sixth form teams to help students meet the challenge.
