Pathologists look at samples of tissue, fluids, swabs, and blood to help make diagnoses. From dissecting tissues and staining them to show underlying structures, to using high-powered equipment to analyse proteins in your blood, they’re an essential part of the diagnostic pathway - which you might never have heard of!
