Overview: The Uni & Employer library
In a nutshell
The new Uni & Employer library is a searchable library of the universities and employers that partner with Unifrog.
The profiles:
- Give students insiders's information about what a uni or employer is really like (with videos and stats)
- Let students sign up to upcoming events (like webinars and open days)
- With one click - let students see all the courses, apprenticeships and programmes offered by the uni or employer
Where do I find the tool?
The tool has its own tile in the Exploring section of the student homepage; here’s the link straight to the tool (opens on the student side).
Students can also get to the tool via content that we’ve created in partnership with universities and employers, for example on sponsored Courses, Know how library guides, and Subject library profiles.
How do students search the library?
Students can search the library by lots of factors, for example:
- They can search by keyword, and compare employers by the number of employees, and compare universities by QS world ranking
- They can see universities and employers that are near them
- The system suggests employers and universities that are particularly relevant for a student, based on the student’s use of the Unifrog opportunity search tools, and which universities they’ve chosen to connect with
What can students do if they like the look of a university or employer?
On a university or employer profile, students can:
- Events
Sign up to the partner’s upcoming events
- Courses and Apprenticeships
View the partner’s courses or live apprenticeship vacancies
- Connect
Choose to connect directly with the partner
- Prospectus
Order a university’s prospectus
- Admissions info
See a university’s admissions contact information
What can teachers do on this library?
Teachers can:
- Explore the library themselves
At the top of the teacher homepage there's a button that lets teachers explore the student side, and here they can use the tool like a student can.
- Share profiles with students
- When a teacher is viewing the library as a student there are ‘share’ buttons on each partner's profile
- From their teacher account, teachers can send the UEL to students as a comment (there's a ‘Comment’ button on the footer of the Advanced view of the Manage page, and also on each student's profile on the teacher side)
- See what students have favourited
- For one student at a time
On a student's profile on the teacher side, on the ‘Overview’ tab, there's a sub tab for ‘Exploration tools’. UEL profiles that a student has favourited appear here. - For many students in one go
On the Advanced view of the Manage page, there's a sorting option for ‘Library profiles in Favourites’. You'll see there's a section for UEL profiles.

FAQs
- Which employers and universities are included in the library?
The library features most UK universities, tens of universities around the world, and more than a hundred employers with offices in the UK, many of which have a global reach.
The library includes big names like Deloitte and University of Birmingham, as well as lesser known gems that could be a perfect match for the right students.
- What does partnering with Unifrog entail?
On Unifrog students will always find comprehensive, independent, and impartial information on the full range of options, meaning students have the tools they need to make their own decisions.
Unifrog also partners with universities and employers to facilitate connections between students and the universities or employers they are most interested in. For example, on Know how library guides that Unifrog has created in partnership with an employer or a university, students in Y10 / G9 or above might see a ‘Connect’ button, which allows students to choose to be in contact with the employer or university.
Check out this Help library guide for more about Unifrog’s partnerships: here’s the link for students, and here’s the link for teachers.
- How does a profile become ‘Suggested for you?’
This is based on if a student has already shortlisted a particular university or partner, or they've connected with them
- What does ‘Near you’ mean?
For UK students it's based on the student's UK region, and for international students it's based on the student's country.
